• In Louisiana, there were 425 transplants from deceased donors, and 74 from living donors.
• Nationally, there were 8,021 deceased donors and 6,610 living donors.
• In Louisiana, there were 152 deceased donors and 74 living donors.
• Nationally, 10,635 people were removed from the waiting list because they died or were too sick to receive a transplant. 161 of these were in Louisiana.
• Nationally, 54,865 people were added to the waiting list. 907 of these were in Louisiana.
• There are over 108,000 people on the national waiting list, approximately 1,800 in Louisiana.
