Girl Scout Patch Program

Promoting the Gift of Life through Awareness and Action

Girl Scouts are known for making the world a better place and learning about organ, eye & tissue donation is a powerful way to do just that! Through the Donate Life Patch Program, Girl Scouts can explore how donation saves lives, raise awareness in their communities, and become champions of hope.

Every day, organ donors give others a second chance at life. One organ donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of 75 more through eye & tissue donation. By completing this patch, Girl Scouts will gain a deeper understanding of how donation works and why it matters and they’ll discover creative ways to share this life-saving message with others.

On behalf of the almost 2,000 people in Louisiana currently waiting for life-saving transplants and the thousands more in need of cornea and tissue transplants, THANK YOU for being part of the solution. When Girl Scouts learn about donation and take action, they live out the values of compassion, leadership and service that make a real difference in the world.

The Donate Life Patch Program Quick Start Guidebook includes:

  • Donation facts and age-appropriate educational materials
  • A colorful downloadable activity and coloring book
  • Fun and meaningful ways to promote awareness
  • Tips on how to talk about donation with friends, family and your troop

Together, we can inspire others to say “yes” to donation—and change the world one patch at a time.

Patches are available from the Legacy Donor Foundation/Donate Life Louisiana while supplies last (not available through GSLE Stores or Resource Center).

📸 Once your troop completes the program, please email a photo or description of your activities.
