Individuals can add their name to the registry by saying “YES!” when they renew/apply for their drivers license or ID card at the Office of Motor Vehicles or Private Tag Agency. Upon saying “YES!” a red “DONOR” is added to their drivers license as a symbol of their decision. Last year, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the partnership between the Organ Donor Registry and the Office of Motor Vehicles. Legacy continues to create and distribute brochures, rack cards, counter mats, postcards, posters and promotional items statewide on behalf of Donate Life Louisiana.
